The team you'll join:
At HSS ProService, our customer service team plays a critical role in connecting customers with the right supplier partnersand delivering an outstanding experience every time.
As part of our fast-paced, collaborative Marketplace team, you’ll become a product expert, helping customers find the right equipment for the job while managing third-party logistics and maintaining strong commercial outcomes. You’ll work closely with teams across the business, from supply chain managers to credit controllers, building relationships that help us deliver on our promises.
The impact you'll have:
You’ll be the bridge between customer needs and supplier solutions, ensuring every order is delivered smoothly, on time, and at the right price. Whether it’s resolving delivery issues, negotiating with suppliers, or upselling the right kit, you’ll keep things moving and make sure every customer interaction counts.
A typical day:
- Manage and respond to customer equipment requests, ensuring all SLAs are met
- Resolve logistical challenges, working with both customers and suppliers
- Use your product knowledge to recommend the right equipment for each task
- Arrange third-party carrier movements through our supplier partner network
- Prioritise preferred suppliers in line with contractual agreements
- Monitor margins and negotiate supplier rates to protect commercial performance
- Promote our full range of products and services to educate and support customers
- Track and report against key KPIs and operational targets
- Deliver first-class customer service across every interaction
- Follow all internal policies and procedures to ensure high standards
What you'll bring:
- Previous experience in a customer service or logistics support role
- Strong understanding of products and third-party logistics
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skillson the phone and over email
- A proactive approach to multitasking and problem-solving
- High attention to detail, especially when working under pressure
- Tenacity and resiliencethis is a busy operational role, and no two days are the same
