Next, we wanted to tackle our back end processes, so in 2019 we launched Brenda, an innovative new platform to handle our supplier and order processes for our teams. The system is powerful and easy to use, and we’re continuing to build on the initial functionality to make it even better. Brenda is the brain which powers lots of our other internal systems.
Making a difference for our drivers
In another hire industry-first, we introduced our driver app, making the delivery and collection process easier for our hard-working drivers, and giving customers real time status notifications.
Another great thing about this is its in-built routing software, which creates more efficient routes. Not only does this speed up the trip for everyone, but it also minimises our environmental impact.
Improving our processes
Our most recent innovation marked a complete change to how our teams place orders for our customers. Powered by Brenda, the Pro POS system allows our colleagues to get quotes and place orders for every single piece of kit we’re able to source, including those from our third-party suppliers. It makes things quicker and easier for our sales teams, so they can really focus on delivering the fantastic service our customers expect from us.
Next up is a customer-facing version of this system for our larger account customers, letting them place their own orders through a bespoke platform.
