Our Proservice division are looking for a Data Scientist who will play a pivotal role in leveraging data analytics to support decision-making processes, improve user experience, and drive growth in our marketplace platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyse large datasets, develop predictive models, and generate actionable insights that will drive business success.

This role requires the use of the fundamental technical qualifications needed to thrive in this role, as well as key stakeholder management skills to ensure you are successful in your communications to the wider business.

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and business stakeholders to identify key business challenges and opportunities for data-driven solutions.
  • Be an out-of-the-box thinker who is passionate about brainstorming and implementing innovative ways to use our unique data to answer business problems.
  • Collect, clean, and pre-process large datasets from multiple sources to ensure data integrity and reliability.
  • Develop machine learning models and algorithms to optimize user engagement, customer segmentation, cohort analysis and pricing strategies.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover patterns, trends, and correlations that inform product development and marketing initiatives.
  • Build and deploy predictive models for demand forecasting, inventory management, and customer lifetime value prediction.
  • Design and implement A/B tests and experimentation frameworks to evaluate the impact of product changes and marketing campaigns.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders through clear visualisations, reports, and presentations.

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience as a Data Scientist or similar role
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, along with libraries/frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, or Pandas.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and experimental design.
  • Experience with SQL databases, data warehousing, and big data technologies.
  • Familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Metabase.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
